Freelance web development for design and digital agencies.
I build websites and web applications for design and digital agencies, from well-defined handoffs through to projects that need a bit more technical thinking up front. That can mean taking finished designs straight into production, or helping work through the approach before the build starts.
What I work on
My work ranges from custom websites and WordPress builds to React, Next.js and full stack applications using Node.js and Laravel. I’m comfortable across TypeScript and PHP, and regularly handle APIs, integrations and backend work as part of the build.
How I work
I’m used to working as an extension of an agency team, picking up different kinds of projects and fitting into established ways of working. My two longest-running agency relationships have lasted more than 10 years. Depending on the project, I can stay focused on delivery or get involved earlier with scoping and technical decisions.
Selected work
Most of my agency work can’t be shared publicly, but the examples below give a sense of the kind of projects I work on. I can also talk through other relevant work privately where it’s useful.
Kubota EU needed customers to be able to access machinery manuals in areas with unreliable connectivity. I built a progressive web app that makes manuals available offline, backed by a content management system that lets Kubota update content and publish new releases.
SuperPicker is a voting and rewards platform for Talent Recap, where users earn points through voting, referrals and monthly challenges and can redeem them for gift cards. I built the platform with a React frontend and Laravel backend, handling the voting, rewards and account functionality behind the experience.
